The Adventures In Voice Acting Workshop continues as we take it on the road across America!

in association with The Dallas Voice Acting Meet Up Group & Super Hero University.
As well as the regularly scheduled workshops in Burbank California, we’ve taken the workshops to Washington, DC, Baltimore, Seattle, San Francisco, Virginia Beach and Miami. In 2012 we continue by bringing the workshop to Dallas on February 11 & 12th. The Adventures in Voice Acting workshops are taught by Tony Oliver, a veteran voice actor and director (see links to credits and more below). This is the real world of professional voice! The Adventures in Voice Acting workshops are offering 2 levels, Intermediate and the new Advanced Master Class. These workshops will augment your skills acquired during DVA events.
About Tony:
 I am a 30 year Entertainment Industry Professional with extensive experience both in front of and behind the camera and microphone. I have worked on projects big and small - from low budget local radio and television commercials and short independent films to the most successful children show in television history "The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers". I began as an actor and voice actor and have had the privilege to write, direct, and produce a wide variety of television, film and video game properties thoughout my career. I feel extraordinarily fortunate that I've been able to do what I love for so long a time and I continue to look for opportunities to try new things, tell new stories and explore further into the reaches of this wonderful world of entertainment that has been so good to me.

Intermediate Workshop - Feb. 11th 2012
10:00am - 6:00pm
This workshop continues where the beginning workshop leaves off, focusing on learning the tools of voice acting to create believable characters with an eye on developing skills needed to successfully audition for voice acting opportunities. Attendees will have the opportunity to create and record characters. The class also touches on recording for original animation, and live action dubbing and game recording. This workshop is designed for those who have taken the beginning workshop or have some college level acting training and/or have had some experience working in the field (professional or amateur).
Master Class - Feb. 12th 2012
10:00am - 6:00pm
The Master Class is a high intensity class designed to prepare attendees for auditioning, working in the game industry and to begin creating character for use in their demos. All aspects of auditioning are discussed and practiced and the attendees will be taken through a mock audition. Attendees will also experience a mock game recording session at full speed to prepare them for their first working session. Finally each attendee will have the opportunity to work on and record characters for possible demo use or for personal development. This class is designed for those with experience working in the field, those with advanced acting training and those who have taken the intermediate workshop or an equivalent workshop or class from another instructor or school.
